Social Participation in Health Financing: Advancing Equity, Trust and Accountability for UHC

As countries navigate health financing reforms amid growing fiscal constraints and changing funding landscapes, difficult decisions must be made regarding priorities, resource allocation, and coverage. Ensuring that people, communities, civil society, and other stakeholders have meaningful opportunities to participate in these processes can strengthen the effectiveness, equity, legitimacy, accountability, and public trust of health financing policies.
