The 2026 UHC Day campaign launch will give advocates, including civil society and young people, tools and messaging to advocate for universal health coverage and hold decision-makers to account for their global commitments.
More than half of the world’s population still lacks access to essential health services and over 2.1 billion people face financial hardship when paying for health care out of their own pockets, often at the expense of food, education or housing. Closing a three-year campaign series focused on financial protection, the 2026 UHC Day campaign will call on governments to take immediate action to remove barriers to care, meet people’s health needs and protect them from unaffordable health costs.
Supported by UHC2030, the Civil Society Engagement Mechanism for UHC2030 (CSEM), and the Coalition of Partnerships for UHC and Global Health (The Coalition), the 2026 UHC Day Campaign Launch will give advocates, including civil society and young people, tools and messaging to advocate for universal health coverage and hold decision-makers to account for their global commitments.
