UHC Day funding applications opened to CSOs

Are you a CSO planning to hold an event to advocate for universal health coverage on this year’s UHC Day 12.12? Applications were open for a UHC Day micro-grant for CSOs with a deadline of 31 October.

Each year, UHC Day has had more impact than the one before, and CSOs have consistently been the force behind escalating attention and momentum around UHC. This year is unique, as it is the first UHC Day to be officially observed by the entire United Nations system and organised under UHC2030’s leadership.

Please see here for more information about how to apply for a small grant to support your work.

Applications are due by 11.59 PM on Weds 31 October 2018.

The UHC Day Coordination Group (12.12 CG) is looking for applications that demonstrate a clear passion for universal health coverage, a clear vision and plan for the event or activity, and desire to collaborate with partners and an opportunity to make a lasting impact. Grants are up to US$3000 but are usually in the region of US$1700-2000. This FAQ document might help with your application.

Last year, a total of 160 events took place in 45 countries including marches, high-level round tables, civil society policy maker workshops, media engagement and more. UHC2030 supported 25 of these events and you can read more about this here.
